Registration procedures


The admission requirements vary depending on the status of the candidate. The admission requirement for PUT is a matriculation certificate. PUT has bilateral agreements with universities and colleges for visiting students. They are obliged to meet the requirements of their own country for entry into higher education. Most courses are taught in Polish but presently the University starts new courses in English for Polish and international students.

Exchange students:

If you want to take a period of study at PUT on the EU’s exchange programmes (Socrates/Erasmus), you have to apply at your home university to participate in this exchange. For information on application deadlines and other requirements, please consult your home university. The applications should be made as soon as possible:

  1. no later than May 31 for the autumn semester
  2. no later than May 31 for the summer semester.

Application consists of:

  1. ECTS Student Application Form
  2. ECTS Learning Agreement
  3. The Transcript of Records (from home institution)

Full programme international students:

International students are students who wish to complete their degree in Poland. They should meet the following requirements:

  1. minimum requirement of their own country for entry into higher education
  2. a medical certificate

International students can apply for Polish scholarships (Ministry of National Education, Office of Foreign Studies), scholarships in their own countries or they have to pay tuition fee.

Tuition fees for foreign students are given every year by the Rector. They also vary from faculty to faculty:

  1. Registration Fee 200 Euro (academic year 2007/2008)
  2. Bachelor programmes 2500 Euro (academic year 2007/2008)
  3. Master programmes 3000 Euro (academic year 2007/2008)
  4. Ph. D. programmes 3000 Euro (academic year 2000/2001)

Foreign students are provided with:

  1. free medical care
  2. paid accommodation in the University campus (PLN160-370)
  3. inexpensive meals in students’ canteen
  4. reduction in public transport fees equivalent to the discount granted to Polish students
