Genetic Map of Poland in Cooperation with PUT
On 22 December 2016 in the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) a contract for creation of genetic map of Poland was signed.
The map will be created as the initial venture of companies–winners of 2015 tender to support projects listed on Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructures.
The European Centre of Bioinformatics and Genomics (ECBiG) Project will be implemented by the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation with Poznan University of Technology and Centrum Badań DNA sp. z o.o. (Ltd), a company based in Poznan, and is expected to last until the end of 2019.
Professor Jacek Błażewicz, Dr habilitated Eng., the director of the Institute of Computing Science, became the project manager responsible for tasks assigned to PUT.
The total cost of the project is about 104 million PLN, of which 68 million PLN will be subsidised from Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructures (POIR) funds.
