NAWA - a personal exchange programme
NAWA implements academic exchange programs under bilateral agreements and bilateral cooperation with, among others, the following countries: Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Hungary, and Vietnam.
The aim of the Programme is to increase the internationalization of Polish higher education, establishing academic cooperation and its implementation through the exchange of students and research workers based on international agreements between Poland and partner countries and bilateral cooperation at the national or departmental level. Scholarship trips under the program will allow to establish or deepen the already existing cooperation between academic centers in Poland and abroad, as well as to increase the specialist competences of the representatives of the academic community participating in them. Thanks to the exchange of students, PhD students and researchers under international agreements, relations between partner countries, deepened mutual understanding, trust and respect will be developed.
Trips within the program may last from 5 days to 12 months in a given academic year - depending on the provisions of the agreement on the basis of which cooperation takes place. If the international agreement provides for the payment of the scholarship by the sending party, the Program provides funding for the scholarship to cover the cost of living for the Beneficiary related to his stay at a foreign host centre in the amount depending on the country of residence and the academic career stage of the Beneficiary. In the event that the international agreement provides for the payment of the scholarship by the receiving party, the payment of the scholarship is made by the receiving party in the manner and amount provided for by the regulations of the receiving country.
