A chess tournament between EUNICE partner universities, organised by the University of Mons, will take place on 28 November 2023 at 6.00 PM. Staff and students are encouraged to represent the Poznan University of Technology in this event.

Applications will be accepted until 29 October 2023 at eunice@put.poznan.pl. Sequence of applications applies.

The tournament will have a Swiss-format and it will be  played online on the Lichess.org platform. The event will be streamed live on the EUNICE Youtube and commented by chess players Jan Kabzinski (student at Poznan University of Technology) and Lara Hernandez.

The winner of the tournament will be awarded a special EUNICE Prize: a 320 EUR voucher to encourage mobility within EUNICE countries.  

The chess tournament itself is part of the cultural events known as EUNICE WEEKS within the EUNICE European University. This year, they will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays in November in an online format.
