During PCM-CMM-2023 (5th Polish Congress of Mechanics 25th International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics) in Gliwice, a competition for the Jan Szmelter Award was held for the best paper presented by a young scientist.
We are extremely pleased to announce that first place went to Alireza Tabrizikahou for her work "Multiscale Modeling of Concrete Reinforced with Shape Memory Alloys: An Investigation into the Mechanical Properties of High-Performance Concrete", and third place went to Paulina Stempin for her work "Modeling of nonlocal thick plates in the framework of space-fractional continuum mechanics.
