On the 17th of October in the Aula Magna of the Poznan University of Technology took place an intercultural concert organized by the LLL&International Education Office in cooperation with the University Culture Center (UCK).
The concert was organized within regular meetings of the Cultural Lounge. The event accompanied the opening of the exhibition "PUT Dream Team". Both the concert and the exhibition were implemented as a part of the project "PUT around the world - intercultural year" financed by the NAWA program: Welcome to Poland.
At the beginning of the concert, the participants were welcomed by the Rector of Poznan University of Technology, prof. Tomasz Łodygowski. The concert was conducted by Mrs. Katarzyna Aleksiun from UCK and international students from PUT - Harleen Kaur from India and Jesse Ngarambe from Rwanda. As a part of the concert, two bands performed, presenting music from the countries of PUT international students:
The Candela band consists of musicians from Mexico, Chile, and Poland. Artists played Latin music based on salsa or merengue dance rhythms. There were also such songs as Guantanamera or Chan Chan. The Bukra Band (in Arabic- "tomorrow") is a Polish-Oriental band that combines Middle Eastern and European sounds. In their repertoire try to build a bridge connecting these two cultures with their music. Bukra plays classical Arabic and European songs in their own arrangements.
The bands showed not only a great performance of the presented songs but also a great sense of humor and knowledge of the Polish language, which captured the hearts of the audience.
After the concert, Prof. Teofil Jesionowski, Vice-Rector for Lifelong Education, officially opened the exhibition "PUT Dream Team" at the Lecture Center of the Poznan University of Technology. The exhibition presents an unforgettable photo session of PUT employees with international students - graduates of the academic year 2019. The exhibition will be available until the end of November.
The program is co-financed from the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge, Education, Development, a non-competitive project entitled Increasing competencies of the academic staff and the institutions’ potential to receive people from abroad – Welcome to Poland implemented under the Measure defined in the application for co-financing of the project No POWR.03.03.00-00-PN14/18.

W dniu 17 października b.r. w Auli Magna Centrum Wykładowego Politechniki Poznańskiej (PP) odbył się koncert międzykulturowy zorganizowany przez Dział Edukacji Ustawicznej i Międzynarodowej przy wsparciu Uczelnianego Centrum Kultury (UCK).
Koncert został zrealizowany w ramach cyklicznych spotkań Saloniku Kulturalnego. Wydarzenie towarzyszyło otwarciu wystawy pt. „PP Dream Team”. Zarówno koncert jak i wystawa są realizowane w ramach projektu pt. „PP dookoła świata - rok międzykulturowy” finansowanego z programu NAWA: Welcome to Poland.
Na wstępie uczestników koncertu powitał JM Rektor Politechniki Poznańskiej, prof. Tomasz Łodygowski. Koncert prowadziła Pani Katarzyna Aleksiun z UCK oraz studenci zagraniczni PP - Harleen Kaur z Indii oraz Jesse Ngarambe z Rwandy. W ramach koncertu wystąpiły dwa zespoły, prezentujące muzykę z krajów pochodzenia studentów zagranicznych Politechniki Poznańskiej:
Zespół Candela, który tworzą muzycy z Meksyku, Chile i Polski. Artyści grają muzykę latynoską opartą na tanecznych rytmach salsy czy merengue. Nie zabrakło takich utworów jak Guantanamera czy Chan Chan. Zespół Bukra Band (po arabsku „jutro”) to polsko-orientalny zespół, który łączy bliskowschodnie i europejskie brzmienie. Swoją muzyką stara się budować most łączący te dwie kultury. Bukra gra klasyczne utwory arabskie i europejskie we własnych aranżacjach.
Zespoły wykazały się nie tylko świetnym wykonaniem zaprezentowanych utworów ale i dużym poczuciem humoru oraz znajomością języka polskiego przez co zdobyli serca publiczności.
Po koncercie Prorektor ds. edukacji ustawicznej Profesor Teofil Jesionowski, dokonał uroczystego otwarcia wystawy „PP Dream Team” w Centrum Wykładowym Politechniki Poznańskiej. Wystawa prezentuje pamiątkową sesję zdjęciową pracowników Politechniki Poznańskiej ze studentami zagranicznymi - absolwentami roku 2019. Zdjęcia będą dostępne do końca listopada br.
Program jest współfinansowany ze środków Europejskiego Funduszu Społecznego w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Wiedza Edukacja Rozwój, projekt pozakonkursowy pt. Podniesienie kompetencji kadry akademickiej i potencjału instytucji w przyjmowaniu osób z zagranicy – Welcome to Poland realizowany w ramach Działania określonego we wniosku o dofinansowanie projektu nr POWR.03.03.00-00-PN14/18.
